“A leader is not neccesarily the loudest person in the room. It is someone who is humble, who can listen to all perspectives and ask good questions.
It’s someone who can change opinions and make the right decision while putting their ego aside.”
Omer Zerahia is a tech and cannabis entrepreneur and a faculty member at Tel Aviv University and The Max Stern Yezreel Valley College. With 15 years of cross-sector experience directing, advising and funding private and public companies in the tech and cannabis space, Omer has been leading M&A and IPO processes, strategic partnerships and global expansions. Prior to his engagement in academia, he has served as the Executive Vice President at CANNDOC, an Israeli manufacturing company pioneering pharma-grade medical cannabis since 2008. Before that, Omer co-founded and led WI:PARTY, Israel’s first silent disco company, which was acquired 2016.
Today, Omer is serving as senior lecturer at various academic institutes in Israel, among others teaching the first cannabis-focused course at Tel Aviv University’s MBA program as well as a bachelor’s degree with a major in medical-grade cannabis at The Max Stern Yezreel Valley College. Both programs were initiated and developed by Omer himself.
Apart from his roles in business and academia, Omer has been a frequent advisor and board director to a number of Israeli tech companies, among them Somoto, SaverOne and Glue Loyalty.
