Dr. Jacob Mendel is a cybersecurity and blockchain expert, a serial entrepreneur and the Executive Director, Applied Research at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Previously, Jacob has successfully initiated and led startups, among them SC Square which as been acquired by Broadcom, and has lead numerous teams of global corporations as senior executive, among others as General Manager Cybersecurity COE at Intel.

Passionately merging his interests for business and academia, he holds a PhD in Economics and an MBA from Israel’s Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and has been engaging in academic research since 2016 – both, as managing director and senior lecturer of the Blockchain Research Institute at Tel Aviv University’s Coller School of Management as well as director of applied research at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
